The 53nd Lancaster Hall Hotel Skat Tournament

Seven players registered for our July tournament, although one could only play in the first session. Rather than the 5 sessions that would have been necessary for all to play all, we decided to save time with fewer breaks and just play 4 rounds of 18 boards.

Mike H sat out for the first session, and took Konstantin's place when he left at lunchtime. Miriam Wagner was leading after 2 sessions, Mike Tobias leaping from last to third place after his excellent second session performance. There were four players on 4 match points each after 3 sessions, Mike H having taken over the lead following a very narrow victory over Kai by a mere 8 game points in seat 1.

In the final session, Mike H held on to win over Mike T by 72 game points. Saskia completed a strong performance in third place on the same match points. Mike H took home a bottle of whisky, Mike T chose the chocolate and Saskia a bottle of wine.
