Our January tournament attracted a great turnout, 13 taking part at some point, 12 of them for 3 of the 4 sessions. It was one of those days where the players who started well just carried on pulling away from the rest of the field as the day wore on. Miriam Wagner won the first session with Julian Grasmann in second place but still 500 points behind. By the end of the second session Julian had just pulled ahead. Sessions 3 and 4 were very close between them, but in the end Julian just did enough to win by a whole 3 points. Meanwhile the rest of us were scrapping for the bronze or wooden spoon, with Martin Dachsel coming through in a valiant third place.
It was great to see two new players join our ranks in Marcel Juenemann and Martin Kunz.
