The 62nd Lancaster Hall Hotel Skat Tournament

We had ten people at our London tournament in March, so played as three tables of three, with organiser Mike Tobias making up a floating fourth player. Rob had to leave after three sessions, so the final round didn't need the floater.

We played our usual four rounds, and Mike took the lead after session one with a score of 887, including a win 'without 5' which won the prize for hand won against the most matadors.

Session two saw Jon scoring 935, which ended up winning the best session prize, but Mo took a narrow lead, which he increased to over 500 after the third round, and he ended up winning comfortably with 2680pts.

Alban recovered superbly after scoring just 200 in round one to finish second with 2227pts, and was the only player who would have beaten Mo, if Mo had left after session three.

Prize winners won bottles of whisky, gin and boxes of chocolates.
