The second Marlborough Arms Synchron-Skat Tournament was held on Sunday October
26th 2008.
When we started there were twelve players, not counting the organiser John McLeod. We played 21 deals as four tables of three. Jonathan Norris arrived soon before lunch, but as 13 and 14 players are impossible numbers, he sat out for the round after lunch, while we played another 18 deals as four tables of three. After round two, Noel Leaver dropped out, allowing Jonathan to join in for two more sessions, each of 21 deals played by four tables of three. Patrick Phair did remarkably well, scoring the maximum possible six MPs in each of the four sessions.
